Building the financial infrastructure for Africa
We believe everyone — regardless of where they were born — deserves access to fast, affordable, and reliable financial services.
Born in Lagos, built for the world
MyroPay was founded in 2023 after our team spent years navigating the frustrations of cross-border payments in Africa. Sending money between countries took days and cost a fortune. Receiving payments from international clients was nearly impossible. Getting paid for freelance work meant navigating a maze of workarounds.
We knew it didn't have to be this way. The technology existed. What was missing was a product built with African users — and the African market — truly at the centre.
So we built it. Today, MyroPay serves 2.4 million users across 50+ countries, processing over $1.2 billion in transactions annually.
What drives us
Mission-first
Every product decision starts with one question: does this help our users move money more easily? Revenue follows value creation, not the other way around.
Trust above all
We're handling people's money. We take that responsibility seriously with bank-grade security, transparent pricing, and no surprises.
Build for inclusion
Financial services shouldn't be a privilege. We build products that work for everyone — from freelancers earning $200/month to enterprises processing millions.
Move fast, carefully
We ship quickly because speed matters in fintech. But we never move so fast that we compromise security or stability. Both are non-negotiable.
Radical transparency
No hidden fees. No obscure terms. No data selling. We communicate openly with our users about what we do, why we do it, and how we make money.
Africa-first, globally minded
We design for the realities of African markets first — variable connectivity, multiple currencies, mobile-first users — then expand globally with those lessons.
